I never really followed her and I wasn’t going to post any sort of reaction. But then my friend Kelly posted this marvelous quote and I couldn’t resist, I had to share it with you. Here goes:

I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands. For me, life happened, just as it does for anyone else. I have been supremely lucky in my life in that I have known great love, and of course I am the temporary custodian of some incredible and beautiful things. But I have never felt more alive than when I watched my children delight in something, never more alive than when I have watched a great artist perform, and never richer than when I have scored a big check to fight AIDS. I love this series of videos that combine typography, video and language to encourage Americans to study abroad. EF Language schools have hit the nail on the head.

(Now, if we can only get away from the stereotype that all American students that travel overseas are fair-skinned. During my two semesters abroad, I had to spend most of my time explaining to folks that not all Americans look like Abercrombie & Fitch. The hilarity of America being full of blonds wore off after a while.)
