I’m in DC right now and it’s proving already to be a trip full of discovery. I had never heard of “forever stamps” until this morning. Apparently the United States Postal Service re-issued their Liberty Bell forever stamp – a stamp you pay for now and use forever, regardless of the fluctuating prices of US stamps. Now I’m under the impression that these stamps are only available at DC post offices, but you can also get around this by purchasing them online here. I think I may be buying these in mega-bulk.

Nadia, look at the year date in the stamp (2007), it’s been around for a while and we have been using it too.
The problem is that we don’t use the mail service as we use to do it before, thanks to e-mail, blogs, office mail machines, etc.
So we are being disconnected with old fashioned institutions such as the USPS.
New generations call for new type of services.

Nadia, you can get these at the post office here in nyc. From the automated machines or from a real person behind the desks.
i bought a roll of 100 from costco, so you can get them just about anywhere. it does encourage me to send more handwritten letters now that i have all these stamps sitting around. :o)
