Have you seen Alex Bogusky’s (of Crispin Porter + Bogusky) latest venture?

After 20 years in advertising promoting clients like Burger King, he’s decided to use his brainwashing skills for good (at least I think that’s what he’s doing). He’s started a site called Fear Less Revolution, all about ways for the consumer to take back their rights in a world of big corporations.

What do you think about it? Does it matter that he’s been the advertising mastermind behind a lot of the damage that he’s now trying to fight?

I have to say that I’m for it, and I’m in ad school right now. I do believe that people need to use the skill set used in advertising in order to also get good ideas out in the world, not just “buy this” every time.
